Body scrubs play an important part in any skincare routine and I’m always on the lookout for new ones to try.
I absolutely love Sanctuary Spa so thought I’d give Being a try to see if the sister brand is just as good.
There isn’t much of a scent range to choose from for this brand although they do have a wide range of products such as mask, butters and bath bombs etc…
For £9 you get 250g of the body scrub, mine is Salted Caramel & Macadamia which I have to admit is an interesting choice of scent.
It’s not overpowering with salted caramel definitely coming out on top but I do prefer fruity scents or the classic Sanctuary Spa scent.
The scrub itself had a waxy texture and is that fine you can barely feel it scrub. It did leave my skin feeling smooth but I prefer a deeper scrub which you can feel working.
For £9 I would say it’s more on the pricey side as there are better scrubs on the market you can for a similar price or cheaper.
The brand is cruelty free and a lot of the products are Vegan which I believe this one is.
Instantly energise and awaken your skin with the B. Vitalised Vitamin Facial Spritz. It contains Caffeine, Vitamin C and Cucumber Juices to boost skins radiance with a healthy glow. I believe this product only launched this year but I was kindly sent it to review for the Superdrug Blog Squad.
This is the first facial spritz I have tried as I have never really been interested in using them before, it is a really nice spritz that doubles up as a makeup setter and it does not soak you when you spray it on your face and doesn’t take too long to dry.
I have mainly used it for setting my makeup and I have found that it stops my skin from getting oily and my makeup looks great throughout the day, usually my foundation will look oily around my t-zone if it isn’t set with this spray.
You can use this spritz pretty much whenever you like so it comes in a handy 75ml bottle which you can just keep in your handbag. It is suitable for all skin types and I have found that the product is lasting quite well and wont need re-purchasing for a while. I think it will make a great addition to anybody going to festivals this year or even if you’re going on holiday as it has a cooling sensation.
It retails for £7.99 (currently buy one get one free) is cruelty free and suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.
Only available at Superdrug
Time for another skincare review and of course it’s another Superdrug product as you all know I love Superdrug’s own brand and feature it a lot on this blog and I am also part of their Blog Squad.
Go fruity or sweet with the Treat Me range which features bath soaks, body butters and body sorbets in a range of different scents.
I was kindly sent these products to review and whilst I love the scent of the Mango & Coconut I’m not too keen on the Rhubarb & Custard one.
I’d never used a body sorbet before and did originally think you used it in the shower like a gel but you use it afterwards. It’s runny in comparison to a moisturiser and does take longer the sink in but it’s worth it.
These sorbets will leave your skin feeling super soft and for an extra pampering sensation you can actually put them in the fridge beforehand for a cooling effect.
The Rhubarb & Custard is true to its scent but I found it quite strong so I would recommend you smell it before purchase. The Mango & Coconut smells very tropical and leans more towards the mango side for the scent.
These retail for £3.99 and are cruelty free, vegan and vegetarian friendly.
Hey everyone, today’s post is all about the multi mask duo sachet from Superdrug which was kindly sent to me as part of their Blog Squad. One side is a moisture mask specifically designed for your cheeks and the other side is a clay mask for your t-zone.
Moisture mask: This mask smells amazing and contains vitamin e which is brilliant for your skin. I’m sure I’ve used this before in a squeeze tube (past review) and it goes on like a moisturiser with a similar consistency and it leaves skin feeling amazing.
Clay Mask: Again I’m sure this was in a squeeze tube as well but I’m not sure if it’s still sold as I didn’t see it on the website. It’s a Dead Sea mask which smells like a men’s shower gel but in a good way and the scent isn’t overpowering. The focus for this is your t-zone and let me tell you it leaves your skin feeling so clean!
I’m not really bothered about mixing masks when it comes to my own personal use as I’m too lazy and tend to forget which area to put it in as I tend to go straight in with the mask. I do think it’s a great option though if you’ve never tried either mask before and want to trial it first before buying it individually.
This mask doesn’t state the skin type it’s suitable for so if you have sensitive skin I think the Dead Sea salt might be a bit harsh on your skin but the moisturising side would be fine so maybe buy that one separately.
Again it is also vague about who its suitable for in terms of its consumer ethics it mentions being suitable for vegetarians but there is no mention of whether or not it is suitable for vegans like the majority of their products are so check the ingredients before purchase.
A Priming soufflé is something that’s completely new to me, I’d never heard of it and only found out about it when Superdrug kindly sent it me to review for their Blog Squad.
B. Is their own brand beauty and skincare line which is cruelty free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
I was expecting the product to have a scent but it doesn’t. It feels exactly like the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation which is lovely and a little goes a long way.
With this primer you can use it alone for a matte finish or use it after moisturising, I personally prefer using it alone as I feel it makes my foundation look better and last longer .
It costs £9.99 for 20g which I feel is a little pricy for a Drugstore product. Whilst it’s a good product I don’t think I’d purchase this product due to the price.
Shower moisturisers are so underrated, I mean how many brands offer them? I discovered the Nivea one when I was pregnant and included it in my Pregnancy Skin Care Favourites. Now I’ve tried the Superdrug Vitamin E one I think I prefer this one out of the two.
First of all the scent is just like a regular moisturiser so nothing strong or off putting and it has a similar consistency. A little of this really does go a long way and it can be so easy to squirt too much out.
This product makes your skin super soft so you don’t need to apply a body butter or lotion after the shower and lets face it who can always be bothered to do that?
It’s recommended for normal to dry skin types and costs £2.99 for 250ml.
The Vitamin E range is great and has everything from micellar water to face scrubs and every other skincare product you might need.
As always it’s cruelty free, vegan and vegetarian friendly.
A good lip scrub is essential if you suffer with dry lips or if you want to prime your lips for a smoother applications of your lip products.
Today’s review is all about the B. Pro Gentle Lip Scrub. If you aren’t aware then B. is the cruelty free, vegan and vegetable friendly makeup and skincare brand by Superdrug.
This particular scrub has no flavour which is a shame as I love the E.L.F mint maniac scrub. On the first use I found it didn’t actually do anything, this is one of those products where you have to work away the top layer first.
I love that it’s in lipstick form again which makes it quick to use on the go, however, the product itself is pretty basic including its packaging. It’s not a bad product it’s just not a brilliant product either.
Currently it’s on offer for £3.33 instead of £4.99. I personally wont be picking up this scrub again as there’s other brands selling scrubs for a similar price including Barry M who have now launched new flavours.
Hey guys it’s time for another face mask review, if you’re new to this blog then there’s plenty of face mask reviews to check out!
If you couldn’t tell already I absolutely love Superdrug own brand products with today’s post focusing on their brand new Coconut Mask which is part of the new We Love Face Masks collection.
It has an interesting range to choose from with there being charcoal, blueberry jam, avocado and oats, coffee and finally kale; all with different benefits.
I went for coconut purely for the scent as who doesn’t love coconuts? It’s a creamy mask and comes in a re-sealable pot (75ml).
I love the simple packaging of this product as it looks very ethical and ties into it being vegan, vegetarian friendly and cruelty free.
The product left my skin feeling smooth after use, it smells great and was easy to apply with fingers but it was much easier to remove it with a cloth.
Currently retails for £3.29 but will be £4.99 in the future.
B. Official Makeup has recently been rebranded after a while of being away from the shelves. If you’ve never heard of B. it’s the cruelty free makeup brand by Superdrug and is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
I was kindly sent a luminous silk lipstick of theirs to test as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad. The shade I received is Suis Moi.
I was really pleased to get a nude pink shade as I don’t really wear many other colours. I think the packaging is quite sleek and simple as well.
The formula is described as luminous silk, it glides on the lips nicely and doesn’t feel sticky etc… The shade is quite sheer to begin with but is buildable with layers.
One issue I did have with this lipstick is I don’t feel it matches the shade sticker as I was expecting a more purple mauve shade. I much prefer the shade it actually is but that’s not the point so just be careful when ordering online if you haven’t seen swatches first.
I love the colour but it is transfer proof and it doesn’t really last long if you’re eating or drinking but it hasn’t put me off trying more from the range.
The lipsticks retail at £6.99 and come in a wide range of shades!
Argan oil is massively popular in hair and beauty products so Superdrug have launched a brand new range of hair masques. You can choose the overnight treatment which contains blends of Argan and Kukui Nut Oils or the replenishing treatment which contains Argan, Pro Vitamin B5 and Papaya Extract and they work for all hair types.
Overnight Masque: I actually used this during the day and left it on for around an hour, it’s quite a runny consistency and can be used from root to tip. I have quite long thick hair so needed quite a bit but it is a 125ml tube so it will last. I personally found it slightly itchy on my roots which is why I washed it out early but it did actually leave my hair feeling great! The product itself smells great and left my hair feeling soft, looked shiny and frizz free for days.
I do not have sensitive skin so it may be best to avoid your roots if you do!
Replenishing Sachet: I don’t usually use sachet hair masques as I prefer my products in a pot but with 17ml in the pack there’s actually quite a lot in it. The whole sachet was used on my hair but for short hair you could probably get away with a few uses.
Again it smells great, really fruity from the papaya extract and leaves your hair feeling incredible!
It’s suitable for all hair types but for dry hair it would be beneficial!
