Happy New Year everyone!
We’re kicking off this years posts with a stunning fan brush which is part of the Superdrug Fantasy Queen of Stars Collection.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate how stunning the handle is? This retails at £6.99 and is a large fan brush that’s perfect for highlighting or sweeping away excess powder.
Before I started using this brush I used the E.L.F highlighting brush (not fanned bristles) and I have to say the Fantasy brush applies highlighter much better and products do not need building up as much which is what I found with the other brush.
The bristles are really soft with synthetic hair and the only problem I found is sometimes you can’t see the powder on the brush due to the bright white bristles but it isn’t really a problem. As it’s a large brush I was expecting it to be too big to use but there really isn’t an issue.
There’s a wide range of brushes, false nails and hair products in the Fantasy range to choose from and I’ll definitely be picking up more of the brushes.
*This product was sent to me as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad team.
B. Official Makeup has recently been rebranded after a while of being away from the shelves. If you’ve never heard of B. it’s the cruelty free makeup brand by Superdrug and is vegan and vegetarian friendly.
I was kindly sent a luminous silk lipstick of theirs to test as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad. The shade I received is Suis Moi.
I was really pleased to get a nude pink shade as I don’t really wear many other colours. I think the packaging is quite sleek and simple as well.
The formula is described as luminous silk, it glides on the lips nicely and doesn’t feel sticky etc… The shade is quite sheer to begin with but is buildable with layers.
One issue I did have with this lipstick is I don’t feel it matches the shade sticker as I was expecting a more purple mauve shade. I much prefer the shade it actually is but that’s not the point so just be careful when ordering online if you haven’t seen swatches first.
I love the colour but it is transfer proof and it doesn’t really last long if you’re eating or drinking but it hasn’t put me off trying more from the range.
The lipsticks retail at £6.99 and come in a wide range of shades!
Hands up who loves fragrance! I certainly do so I was pleased to receive the Layering Lab Body Mists as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad. I received mine in the scents Oriental and Cocoon.
The idea of the mists is that you can choose two from the collection (six available scents) and layer them together to create a unique scent or you can wear them individually which I think is a great concept.
Oriental is my favourite of the two and contains the notes spice, berries and floral it also smells like Diesel Loverdose Tattoo! Cocoon has jasmine, vanilla and musk and I was less keen on this scent but purely because I’m not a vanilla fan.
I’ve never really been a body mist fan either but I can honestly say I’ve been converted and I can’t wait to try out the rest of the range! At 100ml they are perfectly handbag sized and I think the simplistic packaging is so cute.
As always with Superdrug own brands it’s cruelty free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
