Welcome back to the final instalment of the Wonder Woman lipstick mini series, these lipsticks were part of the Wilkinson Sword razor campaign to celebrate the release of the new Wonder Woman film.
Wonder is the shade I was absolutely dying to get my hands on out of the four piece collection, unfortunately I only managed to get three of the shades so my collection isn’t complete!
Wonder is a stunning pink nude shade and I absolutely love any kind of nude lipstick so I had to get my hands on this one. Sorry for the picture being not very good but I assure you it is an amazing colour. I believe the promotion is still running so I’d definitely recommend grabbing this shade if you can.
This is my mini collection and as you can see there’s different shades to cater to each individual taste, we have the deep red shade Wisdom and Power is a classic red.
I love these lipsticks, the shades are pigmented and they aren’t drying at all which is always a bonus and cruelty free!
Bring out your inner Wonder Woman with Wilkinson Sword!
If you’ve seen my previous post then you’ll know I received the shade Power with the purchase of the Wilkinson Sword Intuition razor. Today’s post is all about the shade Wisdom.
Whilst Wisdom wasn’t my first choice (I’d picked Wonder) the promotion allowed you to select two options out of all four shades Wonder, Wisdom, Power and Grace.
The shade is a gorgeous deep red, whilst it glides on the lips it does take a few applications to get an even colour with better pigment and just like Power it does transfer easily.
There’s a subtle smell of Shea Butter which acts as the moisturising property in the lipstick and makes it comfortable to wear on the lips.
The lipstick is cruelty free and a list of ingredients can also be found on the Wilkinson Sword website.
Body butters come in a large range of scents, brands and sizes etc.. and as I have acquired quite a few different ones I thought I would do a mini post on which one is essentially the winner and best of all they are all small prices!
1) Superdrug Coconut & Sweet Lime: As you may have read from a previous review I love this body butter for it’s tropical fresh scent and packaging, it’s also currently on sale for £1.98 instead of £3.99! The only disadvantage compared to the others is it’s large size, it’s 200ml so isn’t exactly compact but it does have a usage span of 12 months.
2) Tesco Extracts Cranberry & Pomegranate: This is quite different to my other butters as it is purely a fruity scent which makes a nice change and at 50ml is a nice compact size. It’s usage is longer than Superdrug’s at a whopping 24 months. This was a gift which also came with a shower gel.
3) Tesco Extracts: Honey & Shea Butter: This was love at first sight, the butter smells gorgeous and was in a nice little set for £2 with a shower gel, again it is 50ml with a 24 month usage period. The only problem I find with Tesco Extracts is that the scent doesn’t appear to last long unless you use the shower gel with it.
4) Boots Extracts: Cocoa Butter: Another great scent which seems to last and has the same ml and usage time of the Tesco butters, this again was in a gift set with a shower gel which I brought in January, currently it will be on the 3 for 2 on the Boots Christmas guide. In comparison to the other pots however it’s label doesn’t look as appealing.
And the winner is….
Superdrug takes the crown with the refreshing scent of coconut and lime!
Although all the products are cruelty free which is a bonus I feel Superdrug’s labelling and scent stands out much more although I would recommend all the products reviewed.
What’s your favourite body butter?
Leafy & Lovely are an exclusive brand to Superdrug and can be found in the Christmas gift aisle. Items range from bath to hand to homeware products. I picked up the hand cream to try which is in a 100ml bottle and cost £2.
The scent is quite pleasant and fruity, it isn’t overpowering and has a ‘zesty boost’ from grapefruit and lime for a citrus scent. The product overall smells quite fresh and the hand lotion itself has a good consistency and isn’t too heavy or runny like some creams can be. I adore the packaging as it’s quite simplistic but fun and as the brand states lovely.
It is cruelty free which is always a bonus and the 100ml bottle is sure to last throughout Winter! Although the size isn’t exactly compact for travel it is still a great item to use at home as your hands are left feeling so soft thanks to the element of shea butter.
I hadn’t heard of this brand until recently and wondered why as the products smell great and have a nice small price tag; whether you are buying for yourself or a friend I definitely recommend you pop to Superdrug and pick up this brand!
Unfortunately this brand is only available at Christmas.
