Hi guys, I was recently sent a skincare package by Superdrug to review for their Blog Squad. The We Love range has recently expanded and I was excited to receive the pink grapefruit jelly scrub.
I have never used a jelly scrub before but I know that Lush has jelly bath products so maybe Superdrug is trying to appeal to Lush consumers?
First of all this scrub smells amazing! It isn’t too overpowering and offers a gentle scrub which can be used more than once a week, it is a weird consistency but I soon got used to it. If you prefer more of an exfoliating scrub then I wouldn’t recommend this as it isn’t like an ordinary body scrub.
I really like this product and I will be repurchasing it when it runs out. It’s super affordable at £4.99 for 200ml and there is a wide range of scents and other skincare bits in this range.
The only negative I have is the pot is quite thin plastic so I feel it could crack easily if dropped.
As always with Superdrugs own brand it is vegan friendly and cruelty free.
A good lip scrub is essential if you suffer with dry lips or if you want to prime your lips for a smoother applications of your lip products.
Today’s review is all about the B. Pro Gentle Lip Scrub. If you aren’t aware then B. is the cruelty free, vegan and vegetable friendly makeup and skincare brand by Superdrug.
This particular scrub has no flavour which is a shame as I love the E.L.F mint maniac scrub. On the first use I found it didn’t actually do anything, this is one of those products where you have to work away the top layer first.
I love that it’s in lipstick form again which makes it quick to use on the go, however, the product itself is pretty basic including its packaging. It’s not a bad product it’s just not a brilliant product either.
Currently it’s on offer for £3.33 instead of £4.99. I personally wont be picking up this scrub again as there’s other brands selling scrubs for a similar price including Barry M who have now launched new flavours.
Admittedly I’d never been in a Lush store until yesterday afternoon, ive seen so many blogger reviews about the products so decided to have a browse for myself. The sales assistant that greeted me was so nice and helpful whilst I explained I was looking for a product that tackled stressed and dry skin that has developed recently due to work and university.
I picked up two of the tea tree ‘Toner Tabs’ as we all know that tea tree is great for tackling troublesome skin, the tabs go into a bowl of hot water with you placing your face over it for a steam clean, the left over water can be stored in a spray bottle to create a toner mist for up to one week.
I was nicely given a demonstration of the Cupcake face mask and a sample pot to take home and try which I thought was a lovely touch as it saves you from diving in and buying a product you may not like, this turned out to be true in my case as I wasn’t really a fan of the texture but it has left my skin lovely and soft!
The product itself reminds me of a mashed up chocolate muffin so the name is appropriate! Although I have only a sample sized pot I found that after one application I still had plenty left over for at least one more application.
Another product demonstration included Ocean Salt, I instantly fell in love with this product as it instantly cleared up a dry patch of skin on my hand that had been caused overexposure to heat at work. This face and body scrub smells gorgeous and doesn’t feel harsh on your skin like some scrubs can do and best of all it doesn’t need to be kept in the fridge like I know the mask pots have to be.
Although the product is expensive, I have found it to work instantly and it has the recommended use of 1-2 times per week, I also think that the colour is another factor that makes the product great as it is instantly eye-catching and appealing unlike the Cupcake face mask.
