L’Oréal Paradise Extactic Mascara

The latest mascara to launch from L’Oréal Paris is the Paradise Extactic (UK) or in other parts of the world it’s called the Lash Paradise mascara.

It’s believed to be a dupe of the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara as both brushes are the same shape and have metallic packaging. I have never tried Too Faced so I can’t comment further on the similarities.

L'Oreal Paradise Extactic Mascara
This is my first experience with a L’Oréal make up product and upon first use I was very impressed with this mascara!

It claims to create intense volume, spectacular long lashes and it’s a pleasure to apply.  Now whilst I can fully agree with the first two statements I don’t really see how the application experience differs to any other mascara’s I’ve tried…

L'Oreal Paradise Extactic Brush
The brush is quite big, has Ricinus oil and is bristles rather than having a plastic applicator. Whilst it’s great on top lashes I’m not so sure on the ease of lower lash application as it might be too large for that area and I don’t apply mascara there anyway so I haven’t tested it.

What I have noticed is the mascara is smaller than other Drugstore ones with 6.4ml in the tube. The Revlon collection of mascara’s contain 8.5ml and the No7 Velvet Lash holds 7ml.

Overall I love using this mascara, it makes my lashes look great, creates separated lashes with lots of volume and doesn’t look clumpy!

Makeup Revolution Matte Lip Kits Review

Liquid Lipsticks are more popular than ever thanks to Kylie Jenner, for those of us in the UK the Kylie Jenner make up range isn’t as accessible to get without paying a large custom charge and of course it’s really popular and sells out fast!

Makeup Revolution has thankfully brought out a wide range of colour dupes with their Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit collection which retail at £6.

Makeup Revolution Lip Kits

This is my first experience using a liquid lipstick so naturally I went for the Nude shades, Echelon is a brown toned nude and Reign is a pink toned nude. I’m not sure why but my boxes do not match each other in terms of text layout… It doesn’t really bother me it just seems odd.

One thing I know people have commented on with these products is that the shade on the box doesn’t match the actually shade inside and I can agree with that so if in doubt always swatch first!

The lip kit contains the liquid lipstick and a lip liner, the lip liners do not match the lipsticks perfectly, however, it isn’t blatantly obvious when the product is on the lips and blended together.  The liquid lipstick as you can see just has your standard lip gloss wand.

Makeup Revolution Lip Kit Swatches

I found the lip liners creamy, very pigmented and glided on, however, my lip liner for Echelon has quite a wobbly tip and looks like it might break so I don’t know if mines just badly made or if they aren’t sturdy in general…

The liquid lipsticks are also very pigmented, comfortable to wear and last throughout the day, they don’t transfer and aren’t drying which is always a bonus.

I absolutely love both colours but Echelon is my favourite of the two!

I would recommend these lip kits if you’re after a matte lip product that lasts throughout the day without needing to re-apply your lipstick. For £6 you can’t go wrong unless you don’t swatch the product first as you may end up with a different colour to what you wanted.

You can purchase these from Tambeauty.com or from Superdrug

*Update: my Echelon Lip Liner has since broken inside the lid and I’ve barely used it
