Primark Alice in Wonderland Smile Body Mist Review

Curiouser and Curiouser. Primark has launched a brand new Alice in Wonderland beauty range at affordable prices. I picked up the Smile body mist for £3!

Primark Alice in Wonderland Smile Body Mist

How cute it the packaging? At first I did think it would be a hair product due to the glittery top but after realising it was a spray and having a play with the tester I fell in love with its sweet smell.

It doesn’t actually say anywhere on the product what it smells like and I can’t quite put my finger on it but I did find it more sweet and musky rather than fresh/fruity.

I find that the mist lasts much longer on clothing rather than on skin but that seems to be the case with most mists I’ve tried.

There’s also an Alice perfume with the same scent that retails for £8.

Delicious Destinations Jungle Body Mist: Gucci Bamboo Dupe?

If you read my May Favourites post then you’ll know that I’ve been loving the Delicious Destinations body mists. The body mists come in a range of different scents and retail for £3.99 for 100ml (currently £1.98 on offer).

Delicious Destinations Jungle Body Mist Gucci Bamboo Dupe

“Take a walk through the jungle where wild exotic fruit notes are tangled with tropical & enticing oriental floral tones”

For a 30ml of Gucci Bamboo you’re looking at around £49, for a 100ml of Jungle its around £3.99 at most.

Funnily enough there are no notes of kiwi or palm leaf in Gucci Bamboo which I find strange so they may share other notes not mentioned on the Jungle bottle but to me personally they smell so similar and I’d much rather pay £1.98/£3.99 instead of splashing out £50.

A great thing about the body mist is that it does tend to last well on clothes and is small enough to keep in your bag to spritz throughout the day, as it is cheap anyway it does not matter how often it gets used where as I don’t tend to overspray Gucci.

Does anybody else think its a good match?

Let me know any dupes you know of in the comments below! 🙂

May Favourites 2018

Hey everyone, just a quick post today to show you what products I have been loving recently and haven’t put down throughout the month of May, there are tons more products but I’ve kept it short and sweet.

May Favourites

Delicious Destination Body Mists: I believe these are a relatively new launch in Superdrug and cost £3.99 each, I love the Layering Lab Body Mists but they are usually sold out so I thought i’d give these a try. The Watermelon & White Lotus mist smells fruity and fresh whilst the Kiwi & Palm Leaves smells very similar to the Gucci Bamboo fragrance which I absolutely love.

Wake Me Up Caffeine and Green Tea Wipes:  These are Superdrug own brand wipes and cost £1.29 they are great for removing make up whilst being gentle on the eyes as I have had problems in the past with wipes making my eyes sore. I love using these on bare skin without make up as it makes my skin feel refreshed. These wipes are suitable for all skin types as well.

Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm: I use this everyday and it definitely keeps dry lips at bay, its one of the best lip balms I think you can get and it retails at £2.69 with loads of different flavours to choose from.

Maybelline Falsies Mascara: This is by no means a new product but I rediscovered it last month after my favourite L’Oréal Paradise Extactic Mascara ran out and I don’t know why I stopped using it, it’s a great volume mascara and only costs £8.99.

Models Own Chrome Indigo Polish: I’ve had this polish a while from a Chrome gift set but I hadn’t actually used it before and its now my favourite shade. It looks great and is the perfect mix of blue and purple, the only downside is that it doesn’t last too long without a top coat applied over it. You can get this shade off the Models Own website for £4.99

Superdrug Layering Lab Body Mists Review

Hands up who loves fragrance! I certainly do so I was pleased to receive the Layering Lab Body Mists as part of the Superdrug Blog Squad. I received mine in the scents Oriental and Cocoon.

The idea of the mists is that you can choose two from the collection (six available scents) and layer them together to create a unique scent or you can wear them individually which I think is a great concept.

Superdrug Layering Labs Body Mist
Oriental is my favourite of the two and contains the notes spice, berries and floral it also smells like Diesel Loverdose Tattoo! Cocoon has jasmine, vanilla and musk and I was less keen on this scent but purely because I’m not a vanilla fan.
I’ve never really been a body mist fan either but I can honestly say I’ve been converted and I can’t wait to try out the rest of the range! At 100ml they are perfectly handbag sized and I think the simplistic packaging is so cute.
As always with Superdrug own brands it’s cruelty free and suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell

Victoria’s Secret body mists come in a wide range of scents and today im giving my first impressions on ‘Love Spell’. Firstly I love the name of this particular scent and the feminine packaging of it.

Victoria's Secret Love SpellI couldn’t get a good enough photo, hence the stock type photo (from Google), I bought this from Superdrug who sell them for £10. Their mists have the older packaging in comparison to the bottles on the actual Victoria’s Secret website which retail for £16.56.

The scent of Love Spell is cherry blossom & peach which smells absolutely divine! I love the scent as its subtle but I must admit it doesn’t last for as long as I’d like. Initially you can smell it to begin with but it soon fades.

Having never had a mist before I would say that I prefer actual body sprays or perfume…
