Superdrug Vitamin E Shower Moisturiser

Shower moisturisers are so underrated, I mean how many brands offer them? I discovered the Nivea one when I was pregnant and included it in my Pregnancy Skin Care Favourites. Now I’ve tried the Superdrug Vitamin E one I think I prefer this one out of the two.

Superdrug Vitamin E Shower Moisturiser

First of all the scent is just like a regular moisturiser so nothing strong or off putting and it has a similar consistency. A little of this really does go a long way and it can be so easy to squirt too much out.

This product makes your skin super soft so you don’t need to apply a body butter or lotion after the shower and lets face it who can always be bothered to do that?

It’s recommended for normal to dry skin types and costs £2.99 for 250ml.

The Vitamin E range is great and has everything from micellar water to face scrubs and every other skincare product you might need.

As always it’s cruelty free, vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream Review

Hey everyone,

I received a Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Cream in the Pro Amplified Strobe and Highlighting gift set I had for Christmas so I thought I’d share my thoughts on it.

Makeup Revolution Strobe Cream

Firstly it’s a smaller 30ml size the ones you can buy are 50ml and cost £8. I mentioned on my Makeup Revolution Brush Cleaner post a slight packaging issue with the sticker peeling off well guess what? Same issue here it hasn’t been stuck on correctly and on the back of the tube the label isn’t in the centre. I feel this makes the products look cheap.

Revolution Strobe Cream

With the strobe cream you can either wear it on its own as a highlighter or you can mix it with your foundation for a dewy look. I personally prefer the product under foundation and found it also works well with B.B. Creams.

In terms of being on top of products as a highlight I found it took away the B.B cream when trying to blend. The product itself comes out white and blends out to leave a gold shimmer on the skin.

I like this product but personally I probably wouldn’t re-purchase the full size as I much prefer powder highlighters.

Available at Superdrug and the Tam Beauty Website.

The Fall of Youtubers: From Hero to Villain

YouTube heroes are quickly declining after many popular vloggers upsetting their fans in 2017.

Zoe Sugg aka Zoella (over 12 million subscribers) suffered a heap of backlash over her festive Advent Calendar caused controversy over its ridiculous high price and poor content packaged inside. If you don’t remember it then the 12 day calendar cost a whopping £50 and contained things like stickers and confetti. Allegedly it wasn’t down to the star what the price point was but she’s happy to slap her name over the crap inside?

She’d also let down fans further at the event Hello World Live but that wasn’t all down to her it was an oversold event hyped up on the basis of a great experience but she barely saw her fans. I’ve never been a subscriber to Zoella but I have brought her merchandise in the past as gifts and to me it looks like she’s all about the money now. Usually her festive merch sells out super fast but this year the shelves are still filled in the sales so can she make a comeback this year?

Logan Paul (Logan Paul Vlogs) took things to the next level recently by publishing a video of a suicide victim found in Japan’s notorious Aokigahara Forest aka ‘Suicide Forest’. The vlogger joked with friends about finding the body and zoomed in on various parts of the victims body, showcasing it to over 15 million subscribers. He claims the reason he did this was to raise awareness of suicide or so he says…

There is absolutely no reason why anyone should film in that area for a YouTube video and it’s absolutely disgraceful that he did it for the views or whatever his motive was. It’s also a shock that YouTube allowed the upload to begin with which questions how safe is the internet really?

Both these Youtubers apologised with Twitter statements and videos but is that really good enough? Should more be done to show their sincerity?

In an online world it’s just as easy to be brought down by fans as it is to be built up.

If you need any support for Mental Health or know of anybody who does then please visit http://www.mind.org.uk to receive telephone support or to find out how else you can receive support.

*Please note I have not seen the Logan Paul Video and it has since been removed from YouTube

A Yankee Candle Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching with only 20 days to go and what better time is there to light festive scented candles.

I absolutely love Yankee Candles from the jars to the tea lights and everything in between! The Christmas scents are one of my favourites so today’s post is dedicated to a selection of Festive votives.

Christmas Yankee Candle Votives

My all time favourite has to be Snowflake Cookie with Sparkling Cinnamon a close second, who doesn’t love the smell of cinnamon right?

There’s so many more scents you can get in different varieties and they make great stocking fillers for friends and family.

The Simply Home version of Yankee are from Asda and they still smell just as great they just aren’t the ‘original’ ones. Votives are a great way to sample scents without purchasing the jars first!

Merry Christmas!

Makeup Revolution Vampire Night Lip Kit

It’s almost Halloween and to celebrate Makeup Revolution have brought out some new ‘spooky’ products including the Vampire Night matte lip kit and Ghostly highlighters.

Makeup Revolution Vampire Night
The box design is no different to the usual lip kits launched earlier this year, I’m slightly disappointed the lips don’t feature vampire teeth to add that special Halloween touch.

Deep reds are such great colours for Autumn so I was excited to try this out. I have two other lip kits from MUR which I have reviewed here. Unfortunately the lip liner doesn’t fully match and is more pinky toned than the actual liquid lipstick so on application you can see the difference.

MUR Vampire Night Swatch
The liquid lipstick is a very good match to the box image which I know MUR have had problems in the past with incorrect shade images. Compared to previous kits I felt the lip liner wasn’t as creamy and felt more difficult to apply as it felt sharper.

If you’ve visited my blog before then you’ll know I absolutely love MUR but this lip kit just wasn’t my favourite. The liquid lipstick formula is not the same as previous kits and felt quite flaky to wipe away and didn’t feel as comfortable on the lips and personally I’d rather the lip liner was a matching shade.

For £6 you get a great vampy shade but it isn’t the best lip kit around.

Have you tried Vampire Night?

Wonder Woman Wonder Lipstick

Welcome back to the final instalment of the Wonder Woman lipstick mini series, these lipsticks were part of the Wilkinson Sword razor campaign to celebrate the release of the new Wonder Woman film.

Wonder Woman Wonder Lipstick

Wonder is the shade I was absolutely dying to get my hands on out of the four piece collection, unfortunately I only managed to get three of the shades so my collection isn’t complete!

Wonder Woman Wonder Swatch

Wonder is a stunning pink nude shade and I absolutely love any kind of nude lipstick so I had to get my hands on this one.  Sorry for the picture being not very good but I assure you it is an amazing colour. I believe the promotion is still running so I’d definitely recommend grabbing this shade if you can.

Wonder Woman Lipsticks

This is my mini collection and as you can see there’s different shades to cater to each individual taste, we have the deep red shade Wisdom and Power is a classic red.

I love these lipsticks, the shades are pigmented and they aren’t drying at all which is always a bonus and cruelty free!

Superdrug Coconut Water Hydrate & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Today’s post focusses on yet another Superdrug product, I know I’m sorry but I really do love their own brand! Not only are they affordable but they are also cruelty free whilst being suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.

A firm favourite of mine lately is the Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner and if you follow my blog then you’ll know I purchased the hair masque in this range quite a while ago.

Superdrug Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner

First of all this range smells amazing! It has a lovely tropical scent which isn’t overpowering. The shampoo and conditioner are recommended for normal, dry or damaged and claims to hydrate it whilst leaving hair looking all fab and shiny. My hair I’d say is normal but with dry ends and some frizz.

After using this product religiously I can tell you my hair is always left feeling incredibly soft, I would say as well that it looks shiny but it’s not overly glossy and it reduces the frizz which we all know is a massive bonus.

It’s also really easy to wash out, I know that sounds silly but some shampoos I’ve tried in the past have just felt oily and take time to remove fully. A little really does go a long way and with the bottles being 400ml each they will last a long time.

All the items in this range cost £3.99 and are currently on offer 2 for £6.
